Here is what each one means and what, if anything, you need to do:</p>\n<table class=\"policy-table\">\n<caption>Yay Bestie order statuses</caption>\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th scope=\"col\">Status</th>\n<th scope=\"col\">What it means</th>\n<th scope=\"col\">What you need to do</th>\n</tr>\n</thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>Pending payment</td>\n<td>The order was started but payment has not been confirmed</td>\n<td>Complete payment, or ignore it if you did not mean to order; nothing is made until payment clears</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>On hold</td>\n<td>We are waiting for something, such as a payment confirmation or your answer to a question about the personalization</td>\n<td>Check your email for a message from us</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Processing</td>\n<td>Payment is confirmed and your gift is being personalized and packed</td>\n<td>Nothing; changes are possible within 24 hours of ordering if production has not started</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Completed</td>\n<td>Your parcel has been handed to the carrier and the shipping email has been sent</td>\n<td>Use the tracking number in the shipping email to follow the parcel</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Cancelled</td>\n<td>The order was cancelled before production, at your request or because payment failed</td>\n<td>Nothing; any payment taken is refunded within 7 days</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Refunded</td>\n<td>All or part of the order has been refunded</td>\n<td>Allow your bank a few business days to show it</td>\n</tr>\n</tbody>\n</table>\n<p>Note that &#8220;Completed&#8221; means completed by us, in other words shipped, not delivered. The carrier&#8217;s tracking page shows where the parcel is after that.</p>\n<h2>A typical journey, day by day</h2>\n<p>Here is how an order normally moves, using a mug ordered on a Monday and shipped to an address in Ohio as an example:</p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Monday:</strong> you place the order and receive the confirmation email. The status is Processing. You have until Tuesday at the same time to change anything.</li>\n<li><strong>Tuesday to Thursday:</strong> your mug is printed, checked and packed. This is the 1–3 business day making time.</li>\n<li><strong>Thursday:</strong> the label is created and you receive the shipping email. The status changes to Completed. Tracking may say &#8220;label created&#8221; for a day or two.</li>\n<li><strong>Following days:</strong> the carrier scans the parcel as it moves between facilities: accepted, in transit, arrived at facility, departed facility.</li>\n<li><strong>Within 7–14 business days of shipping:</strong> &#8220;out for delivery&#8221;, then &#8220;delivered&#8221;.</li>\n</ol>\n<p>Orders to Canada, Australia and New Zealand follow the same pattern with one extra stage: international transit and customs clearance, which can show as a pause of several days with no new scans. That is normal, and tracking usually updates again once the local carrier takes over.</p>\n<h2>Reading carrier tracking messages</h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Label created / shipping information received:</strong> your parcel is packed and booked, but the carrier has not scanned it yet.</li>\n<li><strong>Accepted / picked up:</strong> the carrier has your parcel.</li>\n<li><strong>In transit / departed facility / arrived at facility:</strong> the parcel is moving through the network. Gaps of a few days between scans are common.</li>\n<li><strong>Processed through customs / held by customs:</strong> for international parcels, the destination country is checking the parcel and may assess import charges.</li>\n<li><strong>Delivery exception / attempted delivery:</strong> the carrier could not deliver, perhaps because nobody was available to sign, the building was closed or the address was incomplete. Check for a card or message about redelivery or collection.</li>\n<li><strong>Out for delivery:</strong> on the van and expected that day.</li>\n<li><strong>Delivered:</strong> the carrier has recorded delivery. If you cannot find it, see the steps below.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Worked examples by country</h2>\n<p>These examples show how the same order timeline plays out for each destination. Dates assume an order placed on a Monday with no public holidays in the way, and use the full ranges, so real deliveries often arrive sooner.</p>\n<table class=\"policy-table\">\n<caption>Example delivery windows for an order placed on Monday, week 1</caption>\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th scope=\"col\">Destination</th>\n<th scope=\"col\">Ships (1–3 business days)</th>\n<th scope=\"col\">Arrives (7–14 business days in transit)</th>\n<th scope=\"col\">Typical tracking pattern</th>\n</tr>\n</thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>United States</td>\n<td>Tuesday to Thursday, week 1</td>\n<td>Between week 2 and week 4</td>\n<td>Steady scans between facilities, then out for delivery</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Canada</td>\n<td>Tuesday to Thursday, week 1</td>\n<td>Between week 2 and week 4</td>\n<td>US scans, a pause at the border, then local carrier scans</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Australia</td>\n<td>Tuesday to Thursday, week 1</td>\n<td>Between week 2 and week 4</td>\n<td>US export scans, an international flight with few updates, customs, then local carrier</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>New Zealand</td>\n<td>Tuesday to Thursday, week 1</td>\n<td>Between week 2 and week 4</td>\n<td>Similar to Australia, often with one longer quiet stretch in the middle</td>\n</tr>\n</tbody>\n</table>\n<h2>Holidays, weather and peak season</h2>\n<p>Carriers are busiest from late November to early January and in the run-up to Mother&#8217;s Day and Valentine&#8217;s Day. In those weeks, scans can be less frequent and transit can sit at the slower end of the 7–14 business day range. Public holidays in the destination country, for example Thanksgiving in the United States, Boxing Day in Canada, Australia and New Zealand, or Waitangi Day in New Zealand, also pause deliveries for a day or two. Severe weather can close depots without warning. None of these change our promise: if your parcel stalls for 7 business days, tell us and we will chase it for you.</p>\n<h2>Customs holds for Canada, Australia and New Zealand</h2>\n<p>Parcels crossing a border are checked by the destination country&#8217;s customs service. Most clear within a day or two, sometimes without a visible tracking update. Occasionally customs asks for more information or assesses import duties, taxes or a handling fee. If the carrier contacts the recipient about a payment, that charge is set by the destination country and is not part of our price or free shipping. Paying it releases the parcel; refusing it usually sends the parcel back to us, and we then refund the item price once it arrives. If you are unsure whether a request for payment is genuine, compare it with the carrier&#8217;s official website or ask us before paying.</p>\n<h2>Keeping your tracking details private</h2>\n<p>Your tracking number shows the destination town and delivery events, so share it only with people you trust, such as the gift recipient. We will never ask you to pay a fee through a tracking link, and we never send tracking updates by text message from unknown numbers. If you receive a message about a &#8220;Yay Bestie parcel&#8221; asking for payment or personal details, do not click it; forward it to us instead.</p>\n<h2>If you did not receive a shipping email</h2>\n<p>If your order has been in Processing for more than 3 business days, or the form above shows Completed but you have no shipping email, check your spam, junk and promotions folders for a message from support@yaybestie.com. If it is not there, email us with your order number and we will send the tracking number directly. It is also possible that the email address on the order has a typo; we can correct it once we have confirmed the order is yours.</p>\n<h2>If tracking has stopped moving</h2>\n<p>Give the carrier a little time first; scans are not always recorded at every stop. Then contact us with your order number if:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>tracking has not updated for 7 business days, or</li>\n<li>the parcel has not arrived 7 business days after the latest estimated delivery date.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>We will open an investigation with the carrier on your behalf. If the carrier confirms the parcel is lost, or the investigation is not resolved within 5 business days, you choose: we remake and resend your order for free, or refund it in full. Full details are on our <a href=\"/shipping-delivery/\">Shipping &amp; Delivery</a> page.</p>\n<h2>If tracking says delivered but you cannot find it</h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Look around the delivery area: porches, side doors, mailrooms, parcel lockers and building reception.</li>\n<li>Ask neighbours and anyone else at the address.</li>\n<li>Check for a card or message from the carrier about where the parcel was left.</li>\n<li>Wait one more business day, as parcels are occasionally scanned before they physically arrive.</li>\n<li>Email us within 60 days of the recorded delivery date with your order number, and we will help from there.</li>\n</ol>\n<h2>Tracking a gift sent to someone else</h2>\n<p>When you send a gift straight to the recipient, the tracking emails go to you, the buyer, so the surprise is kept. Share the tracking link with the recipient if you would like them to look out for the parcel. If the recipient spots a problem when it arrives, they can contact us directly, or you can forward their photos to us.</p>\n<h2>Orders with more than one parcel</h2>\n<p>Occasionally we split an order into two parcels so that one item is not held back by another, or because some items pack better separately. You will receive a separate tracking number for each parcel, and the status above may show the order as Completed once the last one ships. A split shipment never costs extra.</p>\n<h2>Using the form: common problems</h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>&#8220;Sorry, the order could not be found&#8221;:</strong> check you typed only the digits of the order number, without the # sign, and the exact email used at checkout, including any typo it may have had.</li>\n<li><strong>The order is not showing for a gift you received:</strong> the form needs the buyer&#8217;s email address. Ask the person who sent it, or contact us with the order number from the packing slip.</li>\n<li><strong>You have an account:</strong> sign in and open My account to see all your orders and their status without using the form.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What to send us about a tracking problem</h2>\n<p>To help us chase a parcel quickly, include your order number, the tracking number from your shipping email, the last tracking update you can see and its date, and, for &#8220;delivered but missing&#8221; cases, where you have already looked. If the address on the parcel might be incomplete, tell us the full correct address too. With those details we can usually contact the carrier the same day we read your message, and we will keep you updated until the parcel is found, replaced or refunded.</p>\n<h2>Need a hand?</h2>\n<p>Email <a href=\"mailto:support@yaybestie.com\">support@yaybestie.com</a> with your order number, use the <a href=\"/submit-ticket/\">Submit Ticket</a> page, or browse our <a href=\"/help-center/\">Help Center</a> and <a href=\"/faqs/\">FAQs</a>. We reply within one business day.</p>\n","visible_characters":10472,"meta_description":"Track your Yay Bestie order with your order number and email.
